6th edition of the Social Hackathon Umbria

Association "European Citizenship - Action" from Bitola in partnership with EGINA SRL from Foligno, Italy, implemented the Erasmus project "European Citizenship - Capacity Building". The mobility took place in Foligno and Montefalco, in the period from June 28 to July 5, 2022. The representatives of this organization – Biljana Bejkovska, Daniela Jovanovska and Lence Stefanovska – had the opportunity to develop their capacities for better participation in democratic processes in the community. The mobility was structured as a series of one-day workshops, as well as active participation in the Social Hackathon Umbria 2022 (SHU2022).

The Social Hackathon Umbria 2022 lasted four days. In this period, a lot of workshops, exhibitions and laboratories were held. The Social Hackathon Umbria 2022 was visited by 180 participants from all over Europe. Montefalco, the place where the activities took place, also known as the city of wine and olives, contributed to its uniqueness. While the training was going on, there was open space for ideas in four thematic areas related to accessibility: physical, cognitive, digital and economic. The ideas were developed by teams and evaluated by an international jury.

The representatives from Bitola worked with teachers from Italy, Greece and Slovakia and together they developed an idea for an "OPEN DATA" website, which would be useful for students and teachers from secondary schools. The data on this web page will be based on facts and data from research conducted by teachers, with the possibility of regular updating. For their work, they also received recognition for the best digital innovation.
